Seventeen year old Layla has a tough choice to make between the Warden she has been crushing on her whole life and the sexy Demon who recently swept into her life. Not something I can say about many books. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment? She did a good job bringing life to the characters. What does Saskia Maarleveld bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book? No, but I won't likely buy more from this author. Has Every Last Breath turned you off from other books in this genre? The story itself could have been fine but this book was sadly hard to get through unlike the first two in the series. I feel like if you grouped up all the ridiculous and childish "dirty" talk, kissing, describing how hot the guy is and the main character describing whatever just happened back as though we are too stupid to know what just happened, this book would be half the length. The majority of the book was just filler. This one almost felt like it was written by a different person. Definitely up to par with other books I've read from this author. What disappointed you about Every Last Breath?
